A non inductive load resistance in series with a condenser takes 10A and absorbs 250 W when connected acros?

Wow Condensor! You must have a really old book. These are usually called capacitors now.

So this is a bit of a trick question since this is clearly AC and there is not enough information. Let’s see what we can figure out. Watts in an AC circuit is tricky because of the phase angle, but let’s assume W=EI even though that isn’t true (RMS watts vs peak watts etc.). So you are essentially asking for 250W/10A = 25V. And thus an effective resistance (again, not simple for AC) of 25/10 = 2.5 ohms. This assumes 10A and 250W are RMS for the AC waveform.

So one possible answer would be:
When connected across a 25V RMS source and when the magnitude of the resistance and the reactance is 2.5 ohms.

Keep in mind that this assumes 250W is in VA “apparent power” terms.

But again, this is not really enough information to get much of an answer.
